Damn The Torpedoes (deluxe reissue)
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers breakout album Damn The Torpedoes from 1979 has been re released with enhanced audio and 8 more tracks.

The Blu-ray version claims to give listeners the chance to hear the kind of sound quality the band and producers hear in the studio. I've yet to get the chance to be in the studio with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers so I'll have to take the packaging's word on that one.

What I can say is it does really sound great on Blu-ray. The extra tracks include B sides, live tracks, bonus videos and a couple of songs from those recording sessions that haven't seen the light of day until now.

The Blu-ray version also comes with a download code so you don't have to worry about getting the tracks on your portable music player.

This is a classic album from one of the all-time great rock and roll musicians and this reissue is definitely worth picking up just to get reacquainted.

Highlights include: Here Comes My Girl, Don't Do Me Like That and Casa Dega.
